Privacy policy

What this website collects when you visit it, why, who else sees it, and how to ask us to change or delete it.

This policy covers woodmarttheme.com: the product pages, the prebuilt website catalogue, the blog and the documentation. It does not cover the live demos, the ThemeForest marketplace or xtemos.com, which have their own policies.

01

Who we are

WoodMart and this website are made by XTemos Studio, the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us through the contact form.

02

What we collect

  • Visit data. Like any web server, ours and our content delivery network record your IP address, browser, the page requested and the time. This is needed to deliver the page and to protect the site from abuse.
  • Usage data. Which pages you open, how you got here, and how you move through a page, through the analytics tools listed below.
  • Comments. If you comment on a blog post, we store the name, email address and text you enter, plus your IP address and browser, to show the comment and filter spam. Your email is never published.
  • Messages. If you write to us, we keep what you send so we can answer.

We do not ask for payment details on this website, and we do not sell personal data.

03

Analytics and cookies

We use three analytics tools to understand which pages help people and which do not:

  • Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager. It sets cookies to recognise returning visitors and measures page views and clicks, including clicks on buy buttons.
  • Microsoft Clarity, which records anonymised interactions such as clicks and scrolling, so we can see where a page is confusing. It masks text you type.
  • Umami, hosted on our own server, which counts page views and button clicks without cookies and without storing your IP address.

The blog sets cookies only to remember the name and email you entered in the comment form, if you choose so. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site keeps working without them. Browser extensions that block trackers also stop Google Analytics and Clarity from loading.

04

Purchases and support

Buy buttons on this site take you to ThemeForest (Envato), where the purchase happens. Envato processes your account and payment details under its own privacy policy and shares with us only what a sale requires, such as your username and purchase code. Support runs on the forum at xtemos.com, which is covered by its own policy.

05

How we use data

  • To deliver, secure and fix the website.
  • To measure which pages and features are useful, and improve them.
  • To publish and moderate blog comments.
  • To answer your messages.

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in running and improving the site, on your consent for analytics cookies where the law requires it, and on your request when you write to us.

06

Who we share it with

Only with the services that run the site for us: our hosting provider, Cloudflare (content delivery and security), Google (Analytics, Tag Manager) and Microsoft (Clarity). Some of them process data outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards their terms provide. We disclose data to authorities only when the law requires it.

Links to other sites, such as live demos, ThemeForest and social networks, follow those sites’ own policies once you open them.

07

How long we keep it

Server logs are kept for a short period, usually a few weeks. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months in Google Analytics and according to Clarity’s defaults. Comments stay until the post or the comment is removed. Messages are kept as long as needed to deal with your request.

08

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or object to its use, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Send the request through the contact form and we will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

09

Children

This website is meant for people building online stores and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.

10

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of the page. The version published here is the one that applies.
